CZ … Tour de France, Mont Ventoux, Col du Galibier, Lance Amstrong , Alberto Contador, Chris Froome,…  a další takto významná místa a jména se díky síle okamžiku a vůli tvořit spojily do monumentálních obrazů.

I tak by se dala zkráceně popsat výstava Markéty Navrátilové, významné české sportovní a dokumentární fotografky.

Markéta Navrátilová, absolventka Ateliéru designu Vysoké školy uměleckoprůmyslové, která se více než 25 let věnuje velmi specifické disciplíně v rámci sportovní fotografie – cyklistice, vystavuje snímky z Francie, Irska, Malajsie, Itálie, Holandska, Kanady, České republiky a dalších míst napříč celým světem. Fotografie Markéty Navrátilové spojuje nejen skvělé řemeslo, vizuální cit a schopnost zachycení správného momentu, ale hlavně velmi silná dokumentární výpověď.

Díky tomu se před divákem otevírají nejen fantastické záběry přímo ze závodů, které jen potvrzují, že autorka byla zcela právem jednou z 12 fotografů, kteří měli nejen to privilegium být součástí právě Tour de France a fotit tento závod z motorky, ale také příběhy běžných lidí v pozadí těchto událostí. Právě tyto snímky dokazují, že každá fotografie je víc než jen obraz, je to cesta do jiného světa. Světa zdánlivě obyčejného, který však, když mu věnujeme dostatečnou pozornost, v sobě nese jedinečnost okamžiku a sílu obrazové výpovědi.

EN … The Tour de France, Mont Ventoux, Col du Galibier, Lance Armstrong, Alberto Contador, Chris Froome…and other such significant places and names have coalesced into monumental constructs thanks to the capturing of the power of the moment and the will to achieve.

As such, important Czech sports and documentary photographer Markéta Navrátilová’s exhibition must be briefly prefaced:

Markéta Navrátilová, a graduate of the Design Studio of the University of Applied Sciences in Prague, has been dedicated for more than 25 years to a very specific discipline in sports photography – cycling, as exhibited in her images from France, Ireland, Malaysia, Italy, Holland, Canada, the Czech Republic and other locales around the world. Ms Navrátilová’s photography combines not only her exemplary craftsmanship, visual awareness and ability to capture the vital right moment but, above all, makes a very strong documentary statement.

The result is that the viewer is presented not only with vivid shots putting them directly in the races, confirming Markéta‘s rightful selection among the exclusive motorcycle course photographers chosen for the Tour de France, but also the stories of the ordinary people captured in their support of these events. These images elucidate that each photograph is more than just a picture of a thing, but rather a journey into another world. Initially seemingly ordinary, dedicated attention will reveal that it carries within itself the uniqueness of the moment and delivers a powerful visual statement.
